Breakfast at the hotel bistro

Went into Porta Nigra and climbed around

Tried to connect for 1hour at Café ??? with Taylor. Rebecca, Morgan and Gabe went walking around

Taylor and I gave up and went to café by the Cathedral, got a good wifi connection for free and spent 4 hours loading days 1-8 to server.

Reb, Morg and Gabe came to café and ate

Taylor Morgan and I still uploaded while Reb and Gabe went into the cathedral

Gabriel asked to be the photo journalist for the cathedral interior

Taylor, Morgan and I finished uploading and did a whirlwind tour of the cathedral and the church

Drove down the Mossel River valley then over the mountains to get down into the Rhein valley

Got our hotel in Bacharach on the Rhein, Hotel Kranenturm (crane tower) part of the gate fortification of the castle on the hill once used to lift cargo from the Rhein to the castle

Had dinner in hotel restaurant

Walked through Bacharach at dusk

Climbed the stone and dirt stairs up towards the castle past the cathedral ruins

Sat and watched 100’s of firefly’s and looked down the hill into the back alleys of the city where there was a small village party happening

Walked back down the hill and went through small alley ways exploring

Walked through the city wall and along the Rhein
